Kiental in the Swiss Alps: though only a small village, it entered the history books with two historic events: Lenin held a secret meeting there, and it served Friedrich Dürrenmatt as inspiration for his play “The Visit”. In the fifties, a Mr. Landtwing, about whom next to nothing is known, visited the village with his film camera. In a remix of discovered silent footage, the Kiental singer and filmmaker Christina Zurbrügg fashions a story, that speaks with poetry and humour about memories and reality, past and present.
