Lake Tanganyika unites two magical worlds: wild coasts and a fascinating underwater world with more than two hundred species of endemic cichlids. This natural wonder is now threatened by climate change and overfishing. On its southern shore lies the Nsumbu National Park, whose wildlife had been decimated by poachers. Saved at the last moment by the initiative of a Zambian ecologist, antelope, buffalo and the last large herd of elephants on the shores of Lake Tanganyika roam this protected area once again.
