It’s been 150 years since the idea of organised guided mountain tours in the High Tatras was born. To this day, this ancient tradition has remained essentially unchanged. Even today, mountain guides form part of the magical world of the Tatras, still helping others to fulfil their dreams and desires. But there is more to this craft than freedom, romance, and adventure: Their passion for the mountain goes hand in hand with a responsibility for their charges’ wellbeing.
