In the south-western USA, an imposing figure towers skywards, arms outstretched. At first sight, the unmissable object appears lifeless. But take a closer look and you discover that this icon of the Sonoran Desert is buzzing with life. Like a luxury hotel in the wasteland, the two centuries old saguaro cactus attracts a plethora of guests.
