The Katavi national park in western Tanzania has changed beyond recognition. Its lush wetlands have transformed into dried-out plains that can no longer feed the lions and other wildlife it is home to. Lions, hippos and crocodiles crowd around the few remaining mud puddles in the dry river bed. As space is running out, dangerous scenes ensue and the dying begins. But then, just in time, dark clouds amass and rain begins to fall! The river is reborn. But the salvation brought by the rains also harbours dangers, and so the pride of lions has no choice but to continue the fight.
