Laura Dahlmeier was one of Germany’s most successful biathletes, with two Olympic and seven world championship golds under her belt. In 2019, at the age of 25 and at the peak of her sporting career, she announced her retirement to focus entirely on alpinism. For her, high-altitude mountaineering was all about freedom, not breaking records. She tragically died in 2025 in an accident while descending Laila Peak in the Karakoram Mountains. In this film, friends and family paint a picture of a self-determined, risk-taking and ambitious personality.
