The Grossglockner Hochalpenstraße – engineer Franz Wallack’s materpiece of alpine road design – is located in the midst of the Hohe Tauern National Park. This makes the road unique, but also places it in a field of tension between tourism, technology and nature. What do the two “main characters” – the road and the mountain – think of it all? We find out as we listen to the two of them banter about their long relationship. And the omnipresent marmots want to have their say as well!
