In 2023, Jakob Schubert makes climbing history with the first free ascent of the B.I.G. route in Norway’s Flatanger. Long considered one of the world’s most challenging routes, Jakob unsuccessfully attempted the project in 2022 together with Adam Ondra. Tackling the route again the following year, he ups the ante by live-streaming his attempt. The views exceed all expectations, but Jakob knows that the entire climbing world is watching. Not that that bothers him: the experienced athlete has always performed best under pressure. Director and Mountainfilm Graz award winner Johannes Mair and his team bring a dramatic, personal and humorous story to the big screen.

And best of all: Jakob Schubert will be there in person – after the film, he will answer questions from the audience.
